This game is based on the 2006 FIRST Robotics challenge, "Aim High". In this two player game, the players each select one of three robot types to compete as. Then, each player can program in a custom autonomous mode to their robots. After the autonomous mode, each player drives around the field collecting balls to deposit in one of three goals to earn points. At the end of the match, if a robot is in its own base, that player is awarded bonus points.
This is a simple game where the only objective is to capture immigrants illegally crossing the border. You start out as a patrolman, but can earn a hum-vee or even a helicopter later in the game. You can only see immigrants within your field of vision, or the field of vision of activated guard towers. After capturing immigrants, you go back to the INS base to collect your reward. Reward money can be used to upgrade your vehicle, or activate more guard towers.
An implementation of the card game Egyptian Rat Screw, in this one player game you attempt to win all 52 cards by either winning matches or slapping the pile. Play alternates between the human and AI, and slapping the pile when there are two of the same card in a row or two identical cards "sandwiching" a third card, can win you the pile. The AI automatically adjust its slap speed to match the human's average slap speed.
Mr. Schreiber taught AP Government at the Maggie L Walker Governor's School, and this is a game dedicated to what we did during that class. As the teacher paces the classroom, you are trying to throw an assortment of objects to your classmates without getting caught. You get more points for throwing slower flying objects, and for throwing them to people who are further away.
Inspired by Tradewinds, NAFTA puts the player in the position of a drugrunner in the Gulf of Mexico. He travels between five main cities trading several different goods. Some cities have Loan Sharks who loan money at a high rate of interest, while others have Banks which do the opposite. Cities with a seaport occasionally have a ship for sale, ranging from dingys to barges, each with their own pros and cons. The Coast Guard occasionally attempts to search ships entering a city, and can be bribed or outrun if neccessary.
Rata-tat-tat is a card game where players try and attain the lowest point total in their group of four cards. The value of the cards, however, are unknown to everyone at the beginning of the game. Only through trading, discarding, and a few special abilities can a player determine how good is hand is. The game is a race against the clock, balancing how many points you think you have against how many points you think your opponents have.
Squares, also known as Dots and Boxes, is a classic pencil and paper game. In this one or two player game, each player attempts to aquire as many full sqaures as possible. The game board starts out with a series of dots, and the players take turns drawing lines to connect two adjacent dots. If a player draws the fourth line around a box, he gains posession of that box, as well as an extra turn.
